The Anglican Parish of St Stephen’s and St Mary’s
The original Parish of St Stephen, Mount Waverley, worshipped at the old church of St Stephen, built in 1865: the parish celebrated the 150th Anniversary of the construction of the original church of St Stephen throughout 2015. Find out more.
The new church of St Stephen was opened in 1968 and the old church deconsecrated.
In 2002, the church of St Mary’s, Chadstone, was deconsecrated and members of the parish joined the Parish of St Stephen, becoming the Parish of St Stephen and St Mary, Mount Waverley, under the guidance and leadership of Fr Jeff O’Hare.
