The Prayer Shawl Ministry invites people who enjoy both knitting and crocheting, even at a very simple level, to gather together in fellowship and prayer to create uniquely beautiful shawls. The finished products are handed over to those involved in Pastoral Ministry in the Parish or given to organisations that reach out to people doing it tough in any manner of ways.
Sometimes a shawl may be given to someone known to a member of the knitting ministry group, but most often the recipient is unknown – a sending out of a labour of care and love to someone who may be feeling along or forgotten.
